About the Stones

The Stones

For years, crystals, minerals and gemstones have mesmerized ancient civilizations, which have included both precious and semi-precious stones in their jewelry, adornments and handcrafted wares. Part of the perpetual lure is the perceived energy emitted by these natural substances. Different stones have a unique set of physical and spiritual properties and many believe that they can raise one’s consciousness, enhance spiritual health and spur emotional growth.

To illustrate the point, we have taken excerpts from a comprehensive manual on the topic called, “The Book of Stones” by Robert Simmons and Naisha Ahsian. The stones we have selected for further description are those typically included in Mediterra’s jewelry designs.
